Our client are a well-established, values-led organisation operating across multiple sites in the North Island.  We are supporting them to recruit for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to help drive a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the organisation. This is an opportunity to build trusted relationships, influence leaders, and turn insights into practical actions that make a real difference.

About the Role

Working across a multi-site operation, you will provide practical advice and support to managers and teams, helping to strengthen health, safety and wellbeing practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting ACC and injury management processes, including safe and sustainable return-to-work plans
  • Partnering with managers to identify and manage health and safety risks, incidents, near misses and corrective actions
  • Analysing health and safety data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting Health & Safety Representatives and building health and safety capability across the organisation
  • Coordinating wellbeing initiatives and supporting internal wellbeing champions
  • Providing health, safety and wellbeing reporting and insights to leaders and governance groups

About You

We are seeking a practical, people-focused health and safety professional who brings:

  • At least five years’ health and safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation, WorkSafe guidance and ACC processes
  • Experience analysing data and using insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
  • A recognised health and safety qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in healthcare, community services or other people-centred environments is advantageous but not essential
