About the role
Join a busy People & Culture function and utilise your HR advisory experience in a varied role supporting both HR operations and payroll coordination for a workforce of approximately 250 employees. Working closely with the Head of People, Culture & Safety, you will provide generalist HR support across onboarding, employee queries, and people processes while also assisting with payroll coordination and administration. The organisation currently operates across separate HR and payroll systems, meaning this role will play an important part in ensuring accurate information flow between HR, rostering, and payroll processes.

You will act as the first point of contact for HR queries, support managers with day-to-day people matters, and help maintain key processes while longer-term systems improvements are explored.

Duties

  • Provide generalist HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from managers and staff
  • Support onboarding processes and employee documentation
  • Maintain HR records, forms and administrative processes
  • Support payroll administration and act as a backup contact where required
  • Identify opportunities for simple HR process improvements
  • Build strong relationships with managers and staff across the business

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience in similar generalist HR roles
  • Exposure to payroll processes or experience supporting payroll coordination
  • Confidence providing practical HR advice to managers
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in manual or evolving systems environments
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and communicate effectively
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Attache would be advantageous
