H2R Consulting are currently assisting a Wellington based client locate a new HR Analyst:) This is an awesome role, in a great team and organisation for the right person.

This is an HR Analyst position for a fixed-term contract through to December 2027, working within a People Services team in a public sector organisation.

Basis of the role:

This role is focused on improving HR processes and building automation to reduce manual admin and make things run better.
The role You’ll work closely with the People team to review how things are currently done, identify what’s not working, and build better, more efficient processes using Power Automate.

A big part of the role is taking manual or clunky HR processes and making them simpler, faster, and more reliable.

More detail / key asks:

  • Mapping and improving end-to-end HR processes like offboarding, employee changes, and approvals
  • Building and maintaining Power Automate workflows
  • Automating approvals, notifications, document generation, and service requests
  • Working with HR data to support automation while making sure privacy and security requirements are met
  • Troubleshooting issues and making ongoing improvements
  • Tracking the impact of changes (time saved, fewer errors, quicker turnaround)

What we’re looking for

  • Solid business analysis experience, especially gathering requirements and understanding business needs
  • Experience working with HR systems or other process-heavy/compliance environments
  • Strong process mapping skills and an eye for improvement
  • Hands-on Power Automate experience
  • Someone who likes solving problems and figuring things out
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable taking ownership and getting things done

The details The salary range is expected to sit between $110,000 – $130,000, with some flexibility depending on experience.
