Our client is looking for a hands on, resilient, and people‑focused HR professional who can provide trusted advice to senior leaders, uplift capability and guide a small HR team.

About the role
In this varied role, you’ll be the HR leader for the NZ business, partnering directly with the executive team and leading a team of two. You’ll have oversight across the full HR lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on:

• Strategic and Operational HR partnering and workforce planning
• Leading ER/IR matters, including complex case management and investigations
• Coaching, supporting and developing HR Advisors
• Overseeing talent acquisition activity
• Driving people initiatives that support engagement, wellbeing and performance

This is a true generalist role and ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable being hands‑on, and thrives in environments where you are both a strategic partner and an operational leader.

About you

• Proven experience in a senior HR generalist or HR Manager role
• Demonstrated strength in ER/IR and confidence managing complex matters
• Experience in operational, industrial or multi‑site environments
• Strong stakeholder capability and the ability to influence senior leaders
• A mentoring, empowering leadership style
• Resilience, sound judgement and a pragmatic approach
