Auckland
Type:
Permanent / Full Time

Our client is a proudly New Zealand owned business with over 30 years’ experience in the FMCG sector. As they continue to grow, they are seeking their first in-house HR team member to support the organisation across the full employee lifecycle and establish best practice HR foundations.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a sole charge HR Manager role with a strong partnering focus. You will be responsible for reviewing, updating and implementing robust HR processes and policies, as well as introducing an HRIS to streamline people processes. The objective is to enable managers to confidently and efficiently manage their teams, spending less time navigating people matters and more time focused on the business.

Pragmatic and commercially minded, you will build trusted relationships across the organisation and be confident in taking people along on the journey. You will work alongside leaders to guide them through all aspects of HR, providing practical, solutions-focused advice while remaining hands-on in delivery.

As this is a newly created role, you will bring:

  • Proven generalist HR experience, ideally within a greenfields environment
  • A willingness to “do the doing” and get stuck in to the operational components of HR
  • Strong technical HR capability, including ER, with the confidence to guide managers through processes
  • Sound business acumen and a pragmatic, balanced approach
  • Experience working with, and ideally implementing, an HRIS
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels of an operational business
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with a manufacturing element would be advantageous

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building from the ground up and working with a hardworking, values-driven team who genuinely care about their business. If you take satisfaction in setting up effective systems and processes, and enjoy seeing incremental improvements grow into meaningful impact, this could be the role for you.
