The HR Operations Manager is a key part of the New Zealand management team leading a small team across HR, Payroll and Remuneration.

Reporting to the Head of Country Specific Services, HR Employee Experience APAC. You will be responsible for the delivery of HR operations and employee services in New Zealand, ensuring full legislative compliance, high-quality service delivery, and alignment with regional and global HR frameworks.

The role acts as the country owner for HR Employee Experience / HR Operations, translating global and regional HR policies, processes, and initiatives into effective local execution, while providing a consistent and positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.

This role does not define global HR policy or strategy, but owns local implementation, execution, and continuous improvement within the global operating model.

You will be able to demonstrate a depth of generalist experience. While our preference is for candidates with previous leadership experience, we are open to considering candidates who have mentored staff and are ready to step into their first leadership position.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior HR generalist or HR operations role, with strong ER exposure.  
• Experience working within a regional or global HR operating model.  
• Demonstrated ability to work with and support people leaders to deliver their organsiational plans and objectives.  
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.  
• A sound understanding of current NZ employment law and HR practices.
• An empowering and inclusive leadership approach with the ability to mentor and enhance the overall capability in people.

The salary will commence between $150,000 – $160,000 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
