Are you an experienced Health, Safety & Environment professional who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships, and supporting operational teams in high-risk environments?

We are seeking a seasoned Senior HSE Business Partner to join a leading infrastructure organisation on a contract basis through to the end of the year. This is an opportunity to step into a well-established team and make an immediate impact across a diverse portfolio of operational and capital delivery projects.

About the Opportunity
Working closely with operational leaders, project teams, and external contractors, you will provide practical HSE advice, coaching, assurance, and risk management support across a range of infrastructure and field-based activities.
This role is highly visible and hands-on, requiring a strong presence in the field and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and field-based assurance activities
• Provide HSE coaching and support to operational teams and contractors
• Assist with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Lead and support incident investigations
• Deliver HSE training and awareness initiatives
• Facilitate safety and risk workshops
• Maintain oversight of operational risks and emerging issues
• Support risk register management and continuous improvement activities
• Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters
• Partner with leaders to drive positive safety outcomes

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a Senior HSE, Health & Safety Business Partner, or similar role
• Strong background working in high-risk operational environments
• Experience supporting infrastructure, civil construction, utilities, or large contracting organisations
• Sound understanding of contractor management and operational risk
• Experience conducting incident investigations and assurance activities
• Ability to influence and build credibility with operational leaders and frontline teams
• Strong coaching and relationship management skills
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to health and safety
