We’re looking for a confident and capable HR Business Partner to join a collaborative People & Culture function that is growing and evolving. The organisation is making a strong investment in its people function, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting this transformation.

What you’ll be doing

• Partner closely with managers as a trusted advisor, helping them lead their teams effectively and confidently
• Take ownership of day-to-day ER matters and HR processes, including exposure to unionised environments and collective employment agreements
• Play a key role in delivering people-focused projects across areas such as payroll, acquisitions, and new systems and tools
• Coach and support leaders through both operational and cyclical HR activities
• Help strengthen HR’s credibility as a practical, commercially minded and trusted business partner

About you

You are a seasoned HR professional with experience working in operational environments where no two days look the same. With strong ER capability, sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation and sound judgement, you are confident managing complex employment relations matters as well as coaching leaders and facilitating practical, outcome-focused conversations. You bring a pragmatic and commercial approach  and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done. Ideally, you have 7+ years’ HR generalist or HRBP experience across dynamic industries such as construction, FMCG, utilities, logistics or similar, and you are known for your ability to build strong relationships, influence at all levels, and bring clarity and calm to ambiguity.

• Based in Mt Wellington, with travel to another Auckland site in Avondale- access to own vehicle and valid Driver’s License is required.
• Some regional travel required
