Our client is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join their East Tamaki-based team on a temporary basis.

Working closely with both Operations and Finance, you’ll become part of a close-knit APAC team responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, supply continuity, and effective planning processes. 

About the Role
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll:

• Manage international purchasing and procurement activities.
• Coordinate inventory planning and control across the APAC region.
• Support distribution and scheduling activities.
• Work with MRP-driven planning processes to ensure supply continuity.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support inventory-related reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute ideas and process improvements during an ongoing SAP implementation.
• Support purchasing and inventory activities with significant commercial value.

About You
You’ll bring:

• Previous experience in inventory control, materials planning, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and terminology.
• Hands-on experience working with MRP systems.
• Experience operating within a Kanban environment.
• Strong ERP system exposure.
• The ability to learn quickly and work effectively with minimal handover.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute ideas and improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Highly desirable:

• SAP experience.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• International purchasing experience.
• Experience working closely with both Finance and Operations teams.
