The Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC) is a dynamic, values driven organisation dedicated to transforming Tāmaki and empowering communities. Operating across Glen Innes, Panmure, and Point England, TRC’s master plan spans the delivery of healthy homes, thriving town centres, economic uplift, social wellbeing, and deep cultural connection.

Together with mana whenua, community, local organisations, government, and industry partners, TRC works to create a vibrant and thriving Tāmaki where whānau can achieve their aspirations.

As the Jobs & Skills function transition in house, TRC is now looking for two Jobs & Skills Advisors to play critical frontline roles within the Jobs & Skills Hub. One role will support candidates across a broad range of employment pathways, while the second role will focus specifically on construction, infrastructure, and asset-related opportunities. Both positions support candidates through their employment journey, from initial engagement through to placement, retention, and progression, while ensuring every person receives grounded, practical, and responsive support.

About the opportunity
These are hands on, community facing roles where relationship building, mentoring, and practical employment support sit at the heart of what you do. You’ll act as a trusted advisor for candidates, helping them navigate pathways into employment, training, and further development.

Reporting to the Programme & Partnerships Manager, you’ll contribute to the day-to-day delivery of the Jobs & Skills Hub, supporting individuals to overcome barriers, build confidence, and access meaningful employment opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Provide end to end employment support, acting as a key point of contact for individuals engaging with the Jobs & Skills Hub
  • Build trusted relationships, offering ongoing mentorship, guidance, and follow up to support sustainable outcomes
  • Match candidates to employment, training, education, or industry opportunities, identifying barriers and connecting them with practical support
  • Design and deliver workshops and coordinate training aligned to community, employer, and industry needs
  • Build relationships with employers, training providers, community organisations, and where relevant, construction and infrastructure partners
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting, insights, and continuous improvement, while supporting the wider Hub team

What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with experience in employment support, mentoring, case management, or community-focused roles, who brings strong relationship-building skills and can support a diverse range of individuals with empathy and practical, solutions-focused thinking. You’ll be organised and proactive, able to manage multiple candidates while maintaining accurate documentation and consistent follow-up. Confidence facilitating workshops, engaging with employers, and providing one-on-one support is key. Experience working alongside Māori and Pasifika communities, or a genuine commitment to developing this capability, is important, along with a passion for supporting whānau into meaningful employment. An interest or background in construction, infrastructure, trades, or industry pathways would also be beneficial for one of the roles.

Why TRC?
TRC is deeply values led, guided by:

  • Ka Poipoi — caring for and nurturing one another
  • Ka Honohono Tātou — joining together and building connection
  • Ka Waihanga Tahi Tātou — reflecting, learning, designing and creating together

You’ll join a collaborative, community centred organisation focused on long term, place based impact and play a key role in supporting employment and skills outcomes across Tāmaki.
