Due to new business growth, we are seeking an experienced Data Consultant with Databricks expertise (ideally) to lead the end-to-end delivery of data solutions across Databricks, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to design, build, and optimise scalable, high-performing data platforms.

Your day to day duties will include:

  • Design and deliver reliable data pipelines across Lakehouse and warehouse environments
  • Build data solutions using Databricks, Delta Live Tables, Lakeflow, SQL, and Python
  • Apply modern data modelling and Medallion Architecture principles
  • Implement testing, monitoring, data quality, and performance optimisation practices
  • Lead discovery sessions and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to shape solution design and delivery
  • Mentor engineers, conduct peer reviews, and promote engineering best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years’ experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and data warehouse solutions
  • 3+ years’ hands-on Databricks experience is preferred
  • Strong expertise in Databricks Workspace, Unity Catalog, Compute, Workflows, DLT, and Lakeflow
  • Advanced SQL and strong Python skills
  • Experience with Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and analytics-focused data modelling
  • Strong Git, CI/CD, DevOps, and DataOps practices
  • Experience implementing data quality and testing frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Technical leadership and mentoring experience 
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
  • Databricks certifications and exposure to Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform highly regarded.
