About the role
  
We are seeking an outstanding Operations Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists and technicians who are world experts in their highly specialised field.
  
For this role, we are seeking an exceptional people leader with a demonstrated track record in building high performing teams. There is a strong focus on production management, with responsibility for operational delivery of multiple service and products lines in a complex operational environment.
  
You’ll bring your knowledge of project management to ensure effective and efficient delivery of commercial products and services. In addition, your experience in process improvement will be utilised to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness, reduce costs, increase profit, and improve client experience.
  
Additional support for the team will include developing work programmes, measuring, monitoring and reporting on performance targets, and workforce planning.
  

About you
  
We are seeking an experienced people leader who can demonstrate the following:
  

• Demonstrated experience across production management ensuring smooth operational efficiency.
• A successful track record in inspiring and motivating high performing technical teams within complex environments.
• Strong understanding of Project management and Commercial acumen, ideally with experience in Lean Sigma 6 and 5S.
• Proven experience effectively leading and delivering practical results, particularly in an operational environment.
• An ability to influence, and embed a positive and collaborative team culture that supports delivery, strong work practices, client centricity and continuous service improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and complex issues to those who are not subject matter experts.
• Experience in business development to expand business opportunities is desirable.
