Payroll Advisor – Permanent Opportunity – Wellington CBD | $85K–$97K

We’re recruiting an experienced Payroll Advisor for a permanent opportunity in Wellington CBD within a safety-focused organisation playing a vital role in keeping New Zealanders safe.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing end-to-end payroll, potentially in a sole-charge capacity
• Delivering accurate, timely payroll processing and reporting (fortnightly run)
• Ensuring compliance with NZ payroll legislation
• Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing great service
• Contributing to continuous improvement and system capability

What we’re looking for:

• Experience running end-to-end payroll (sole-charge ideal not essential)
• Strong knowledge of NZ legislation (Holidays Act, Wages Protection Act, Employment Relations Act)
• Payroll systems experience
• Confidence with Excel, MS Office
• High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• A team player with a positive, collaborative mindset
