About the role

This is a sole charge end-to-end payroll position for a 2-month period starting on the 1st of July. The purpose of the role is to manage payroll processing during the transition as a new employee joins the team. They new employee is currently on parental leave.

Responsibilities include:

  • End to end preparation and processing of payroll for 240 employees (weekly waged, monthly salaried and ad-hoc)
  • Ensuring compliance with the IRD requirements, including PAYE tax, KiwiSaver contributions, and other statutory obligations
  • Managing employee benefits, such as leave entitlements (annual leave, sick leave, parental leave), KiwiSaver
  • Addressing payroll-related queries and concerns from employees promptly and professionally
  • Providing information and guidance on payroll processes and policies

About you:

  • Previous experience with New Zealand payroll
  • A strong understanding of employment and holidays act legislation, PAYE, ACC Claims, Kiwisaver, IRD and minimum wage act
  • Excellent payroll systems knowledge skills, such as MYOB, datapay, Crystal payroll, Xero, etc
  • The organisation uses Zambian as their payroll system
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration
