Platform Engineer – AI 

Build, support evolving enterprise-scale AI solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Platform Engineer who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, DevOps, and modern application development to deliver real business outcomes.

Working within a collaborative and highly skilled team, you will help design, deploy and support cutting-edge AI solutions while contributing to the ongoing maturity of AI engineering practices, standards, and platform capabilities.

The Opportunity

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, deployment and operational support of AI-driven solutions across a growing enterprise environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver new AI use cases, enhance platform capabilities, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable.

You will also play a key role in advancing engineering best practices by creating reusable frameworks, improving operational processes, and helping shape standards for future AI initiatives.

Essential Experience

• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and modern DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience building and delivering AI-enabled applications and platforms
• Platform support (M365 Copilot, Github, AI Landing Zone)
• Background developing web applications, APIs, and containerised solutions
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, infrastructure deployment, and operational support
• Strong understanding of identity management, security controls, networking, and vulnerability management
• Experience working with GitHub and modern development workflows
• Exposure to Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure AI, or related Microsoft technologies
• Knowledge of monitoring, testing, observability, and platform reliability practices
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to create reusable technical assets and standards

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain enterprise AI solutions and use cases
• Support and optimise AI platforms and associated tooling across the Microsoft ecosystem
• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, and containerised workloads
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and deployment processes
• Contribute to the development of reusable patterns, technical standards, and reference architectures
• Ensure AI solutions meet security, governance, reliability, and compliance requirements
• Monitor, evaluate and optimise AI performance, cost, latency, and operational effectiveness
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
• Provide ongoing platform support and operational excellence across AI services
