Procurement Manager (6-week contract) – Immediate start

We’re working with an organisation in the utilities sector that is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to step in for a 6-week contract while their Head of Procurement is on leave.

This role will not take on the full portfolio of the Head of Procurement. Instead, the focus is on providing continuity and leadership across a key digital procurement process that is currently underway.

You will act as the main point of contact for a significant digital tender, ensuring the process continues to move smoothly, stakeholders remain aligned, and governance and procurement standards are maintained.

About the role

In this short-term assignment, you will:

• Act as the central point of contact for a large digital procurement tender
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and suppliers involved in the process
• Provide procurement leadership and oversight during the leave period
• Ensure the tender progresses in line with procurement policy, governance and timelines
• Support evaluation activities and maintain clear communication across the project
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to keep the process on track

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can step in confidently and provide immediate value. Ideally you will bring:

• Strong procurement leadership experience, ideally at Manager or Senior Advisor level
• Experience running or supporting large tenders or digital/technology procurements
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and keep complex processes moving
• Strong commercial judgement and understanding of procurement governance
• The confidence to operate as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders
