About the role
This is a rare and exceptionally exciting opportunity that rarely turns up in Wellington CBD.

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Accountant or Management Accountant who has strong project / programme environment exposure, ideally within the assets, procurement, or infrastructure space.

The role sits within a well-known government agency and provides detailed accounting support to the wider team throughout the life cycle of the project.  
  
What you’ll be doing
As an experienced Project Accountant, you will be expected to have the following skill set.

• CA or CPA certification
• Demonstrated project environment exposure from an accounting perspective.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
• Financial planning, modelling, and insights
• Ongoing reporting and commentary
• Capex and opex reporting
• Monitoring internal controls
• Solid understanding of FX hedging
