This is an opportunity for an experienced property asset management professional to take ownership of asset planning, performance, reporting and improvement across a large, complex portfolio of land, buildings, leased sites and associated facilities assets.

Working within a small, collaborative property team, you will play a key role in improving asset productivity, strengthening long-term planning and ensuring decisions are supported by accurate data, sound analysis and best-practice asset management frameworks.

About the role Reporting to the Property Lead, this role is responsible for driving a planned, strategic and evidence-based approach to property asset management. You will manage and maintain asset information, support capital and maintenance planning, contribute to strategic property documents and identify opportunities to improve reliability, availability, performance and whole-of-life value.  The portfolio is national in scale and includes owned and leased property assets, facilities, and vehicle-related asset planning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of asset management planning, methodologies and processes.
  • Maintain accurate asset data and reporting through property and asset management systems.
  • Use analysis to identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, availability, maintainability and performance.
  • Support the preparation of strategic property and facilities planning documents, including asset management plans, infrastructure planning, business cases and activity proposals.
  • Coordinate asset condition assessments and ensure relevant data is captured, maintained and translated into improvement actions.
  • Contribute to long-term maintenance planning, capital expenditure planning and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Support compliance, reporting and continuous improvement requirements

About you You will be a confident asset management professional who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will be comfortable working with complex information, translating data into meaningful insights and influencing improvements across systems, processes and planning.

Experience in a tertiary education, Crown entity, government agency or other large property-owning organisation would be highly regarded, particularly where you have worked within formal asset management frameworks and reporting environments.
