You will be part of a small team responsible for the operation and delivery of the investment funding processes. Your work will ensure that the building research levy is invested across a portfolio that has the greatest impact on the building and construction industries’ ability to provide better buildings for New Zealanders. Managing relationships with researchers at BRANZ and across New Zealand, you will monitor the impact of contracts from the levy’s investments and support the delivery of research outcomes.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will offer:

• A solid knowledge of the New Zealand science and research sector
• A background in research management and the ability to bridge the gap between research problems and industry needs at individual project and portfolio level
• The credibility to represent BRANZ effectively working with government and industry stakeholders up to senior level
• Strong professional writing skills
• A proven ability to provide advice, insight and guidance to senior leadership
• Financial management experience
