We’re working with a government organisation who is undergoing a targeted finance transformation and are looking to bring on an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a critical delivery phase.

This is a six-month “burst” engagement, focused on driving tangible improvements across finance processes, systems, and ways of working.

This role sits within a broader programme of work, with this particular position requiring a strong finance lens. You’ll work closely with the finance team and wider business to understand current state challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and help deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.

What you’ll be doing

• Partnering with finance stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Mapping current and future state processes across finance operations
• Supporting the uplift of finance systems, with a focus on improving efficiency and data quality
• Working across financial systems (ideally NetSuite) to support enhancements and optimisation
• Facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
• Translating business needs into clear functional requirements for technical teams
• Supporting delivery, testing, and implementation of changes
• Bringing a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach to a fast-moving environment

About you

You’ll be a seasoned Business Analyst with a strong understanding of finance functions and processes. Ideally, you’ve previously worked within a finance team or in a finance-focused BA role, giving you the ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders.
You will bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in transformation or change environments
• Strong finance domain knowledge (financial reporting, processes, systems)
• Experience working with financial systems, ideally NetSuite
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• The ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities
• A hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
