About the company:

Our client is a leading provider of corporate services, assisting clients in setting up and managing their companies while ensuring compliance with global and local legislation. The team works closely with clients to maintain their companies in good legal standing, offering comprehensive support in company formation, governance structures, statutory filings, and more.

About the role:
Due to the growth of the team, this new and exciting role has become available. As a Senior Company Secretary, you will provide comprehensive company secretarial support to a portfolio of New Zealand and International clients.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee all tasks in clients’ portfolios and review documents
  • Provide comprehensive company secretarial support, including preparation of minutes, resolutions, attendance at client meetings, and maintenance of statutory records
  • Brief and support the board of directors on corporate governance issues and constitution matters
  • Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring compliance with company’s internal policies
  • Maintain active communication with clients, service providers, and third parties to strengthen relationships.
  • Ensure timely billing and support cash collection processes

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Holds or studying towards a Chartered membership with the Governance New Zealand or The Chartered Governance Institute abroad. (i.e., Chartered Secretary).
  • Understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT Act)
  • Knowledge of the Companies Act 1993, Companies Office and filing obligations
  • Proven experience in company secretarial services, preferably in a professional services firm.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
