Senior Finance Business Partner – Management Accountant

We are assisting a Wellington based organisation locate a senior, tenured, Finance Business Partner for this permanent role in their Business Partnering team. The team sits within finance, works closely with the Management Accounting team, and will  the role will specialise in a certain area or areas of the business.

We are looking for a finance minded individual with the intelligence to quickly grasp the various areas of business this client covers or oversees. We also require a special person who is able to relate to a wide range of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and levels – able to forge instant lasting relationships to get the work done.  

The Team:

The Finance Business Partner team provides business and financial information and advice to inform strategic and investment decision making to support our portfolios in maximising the use of resources available, driving improved outcomes and value.

The role and you: 

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in financial management within large and complex environments, ideally within the public sector. You will have advanced strategic ability an experience.

Specifically, your experience will include:

• Using financial modelling and analysis to identify risks and translate these into management actions
• Understanding of business planning, budgetary processes and systems relating to business performance, reporting and governance
• Communicating the “big picture” and being prepared to deliver and analyse the detail
• Analysing technical issues and making business decisions with financial impact

You will also have the ability to influence and constructively challenge others, have excellent written an verbal communication skills, proven negotiation skills, and be able to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.

The pay & Benefits:

$140,000 – $180,000 base plus KS (heavily dependant on experience and tenure)
WFH: yes the ability to do so
Up to 3 additional leave days over Xmas
Ability to purchase extra annual leave
