About the role
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded NZ government agency in Wellington’s vibrant CBD and add value to their wider finance function and portfolio managers as an experienced Senior Management Accountant.

The role offers a varied workload, plenty of interesting stakeholders to engage with, a collaborative team environment and full-time fixed term employment until the end of January 2027.  Success in this assignment will guarantee employment over the Christmas holidays!

The office premises are located near the train station and a short walk from Lambton Quay.
  
What you’ll be doing
As an experienced Senior Management Accountant, you will be expected to have the following skill set.

• CA or CPA certification
• Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
• Financial modelling, analysis, and insights
• Solid stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Capex and opex reporting
• Experience with a large FMIS such as Oracle, Technology One or SAP
• Exposure to departmental, crown or ministerial government accounting environments
• Excellent communication skills
