As a Senior Payroll Advisor, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the end-to-end payroll processes for our client. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing exceptional service to the employees.

About the role

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 1300 employees , including data entry, calculation of wages, and processing of deductions and adjustments.
  • Administering payroll services in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and in line with the legislative, departmental and auditing requirements
  • Identifying and resolving day to day payroll issues, escalating any significant risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Preparing all Payroll submissions including company specific payroll returns, tax returns, online filings with tax authorities, Kiwi saver and worker’s compensation etc, ensuring all requirements are met within required timeframes

About you:

  • 3-5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, ( they currently use IMS and ELMO)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making that balances the employees experience as well as commercial and functional needs
  • Ability to adapt and contribute to a changing environment
