The role

A rare and exciting opportunity has come up with The Commerce Commission for a Senior People Adviser, People and Capability to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Partnering and Advisory Manager within our Organisation Performance and Enablement branch, you will be a trusted adviser to the organisation supporting three P&C Business Partners, this role will actively contribute or lead key people initiatives/projects that align with the vision, values and strategic priorities of the organisation.

Key areas of focus for this role will be leading the annual remuneration review process, health & safety as well as supporting and providing advice across the full spectrum of People and Capability services and providing cover for our People Business Partners.

About you

We are looking for a motivated and driven Senior HR Advisor who is interested in joining a fantastic HR team. Key to your success will be your ability to build exceptional relationships with your stakeholders, as well as your calm and considered communication style, and ability to deliver meaningful HR work that supports the broader business objectives. 

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in human resources in an advisory or senior advisory capacity.
  • Expertise in all the advisory aspects of HR and demonstrable application of employment legislation.
  • Experience in remuneration, and health and safety
  • Strong customer centricity, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
  • Able to interpret data/trends and translate in a way that makes sense and adds value to decision making.
  • Effective planning, co-ordination and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while keeping an eye on measuring the impact of initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with a strong achievement focus.
  • The ability to provide cover for our Business Partners.

The indicative salary range for this role is $106,022 to $124,732 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.
