We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst to join a dynamic project team delivering a large-scale Workday implementation.

Based in the Waikato region, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful testing and delivery of a robust, high-quality HR and Finance system.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in project environments, understands end-to-end testing processes, and has recent experience working on enterprise Workday implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Workday modules
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test scenarios
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
• Support data migration and validation activities
• Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable
• Provide clear reporting on testing progress, risks, and issues
• Assist in coordinating UAT sessions with business users

Key candidate requirements:

• Proven experience as a Test Analyst on Workday implementation projects (essential)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Finance, or Payroll
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective test scenarios
• Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM)
• ISTQB certification (or similar) is an advantage

This is a long term contract opportunity based in the Waikato with Auckland based candidates who are open to travelling as required also considered.

All candidates must be currently based in NZ with full NZ working rights (NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident).
