Senior Contract Solution Architect – Wellington

We’re looking for a Senior Solution Architect who can dive deep into the technical detail, work directly with vendors and internal teams, and shape practical, high-quality solutions. This role is ideal for someone who is confident operating in the technical realm while also influencing decision-making at governance levels.

About the role
This role is working on physical security control systems.  You’ll be responsible for translating complex requirements into robust, well-structured solution designs.  You will work closely with delivery partners, looking at technical challenges, validating assumptions, and guiding architectural decisions to ensure the solution is secure, scalable, and aligned with organisational standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing options analysis and presenting clear recommendations to governance forums
• Supporting the preparation, documentation, and approval of architectural deliverables
• Evaluating and advising on decommissioning approaches while ensuring alignment with retention and policy requirements
• Providing architectural expertise across cloud platforms, modern management tools, and related technologies
• Designing and guiding cloud platform decisions

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrated experience designing solutions for cloud-based platforms, ideally with exposure to physical security technologies such as CCTV or access control systems
• Strong capability to analyse technical information, identify gaps, and work directly with vendors to resolve issues
• Familiarity with security assurance, compliance frameworks, and modern cloud governance practices
• Excellent stakeholder management skills – including vendor liaison and internal stakeholders
